For urgent emergency calls, the ambulance is usually at the scene of the emergency within 15 minutes of a call being received. For an urgent situation that is not immediately life threatening, the ambulance is usually at the scene of the emergency within 30 minutes. The ambulance service also provides routine non-urgent ambulance transfers for patients. For non-urgent transfers, the ambulance will be with the patient within one hour after the agreed time. A quarter of our journeys are planned transfers.
