The emergency dispatch centre takes your 112 call.
Everyone here is working hard. We don’t want to lose a second. Your call will be picked up by one of the emergency medical dispatchers. We ask where you are. We ask for your telephone number (in case the call should be accidentally disconnected). We ask a series of questions and listen to what you have to say so that we can find out what’s going on and how serious the situation is. The dispatchers decide which ambulance will come to you (the closest, naturally!), and send the ambulance. On our screens we can exactly see where the ambulance is.
